This advanced screening technique focuses on identifying the early signs of potential disease by analyzing the heat and circulation patterns within the breast tissue, underarms, lymphatic areas, and upper back. Thermography can reveal the early physiological changes that might indicate the onset of various breast-related conditions long before they become detectable through other screening methods.
Note that it is important to have TWO scans done within a 3-4 month period because most active cancers double in size and heat approximately 100 days apart. If there are any increased heat patterns and or vascular changes from the first breast scan to the second, additional modalities will be requested by the interpreting doctor. If there are no changes, annual thermal scans are appropriate.
- Inflammatory breast disease
- Chronic inflammation
- Fibrocystic activity
- Abnormal blood flow
- Angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels)
- Subtle vascular changes, suggesting the presence of disease
- Hormonal imbalances
- Lymphatic congestion
- Early detection of abnormalities and health concerns
- Thermograms are interpreted by MDs
- Entire chest is imaged, including underarms
- FDA registered, medical device, for adjunctive breast screening to be used with standard imaging procedures (mammograms, clinical examination, or ultrasound)
- Safely images breasts with implants
- Your thermographer is trained under the guidance and support of the American College of Clinical Thermology
- Especially useful for women under 50 who tend to have denser breast tissue or those who have undergone breast surgeries
- No radiation, no breast compression, painless, 100% safe
- Accurate regardless of breast size
- Determining future risk markers
